Finding the right therapist can be challenging, especially if you’re autistic and worried about being misunderstood. The good news is that working with a neurodivergent therapist—someone who truly understands the experiences of autism—can make a huge difference.
As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I know what it’s like to navigate the world with autism and ADHD. I’ve been through many of the same struggles you might face, from sensory overload to social anxiety, and I understand how overwhelming life can be at times. This shared understanding means you won’t have to explain every little thing during our sessions. You’ll be in a space where you can be yourself without having to mask or conform to neurotypical expectations.
During our sessions, I focus on creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Together, we can work on practical strategies tailored to your needs—whether it's managing anxiety, dealing with sensory challenges, or navigating relationships- whatever it is you would like to work on.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to grow and feel more empowered in your life. If you’ve ever felt hesitant about seeing a therapist because you weren’t sure they’d "get" you, know that you’re not alone in that feeling. With me, you’ll find a therapist who sees you for who you are and will work with you to create positive change—on your own terms.
Another thing that takes a bit of pressure off you is the fact that I offer a free phone call before you start your sessions with me. This gives you an opportunity to gauge if we are a good fit before you start your first session with me.
Ready to take that step?
